Township residents are welcome to rent a 30 cubic yard property maintenance dumpster from The Township of North Brunswick. The container is 8 feet x 23 feet, with an 8-foot wide door.
Dumpster rentals are only available to single-family homes with a driveway. No dumpster rental for condos/townhomes thru DPW. HOA communities may rent from a private garbage hauler with permission of the HOA and a permit from the construction/zoning office.
The charge for a 7-day rental is $400. Checks can be made payable to The Township of North Brunswick and delivered to DPW at 45 Quarry Lane.
Delivery and pick-up of the container will be at DPW’s convenience. The container can be placed in the street or in the driveway. If placed in the driveway, the homeowner must sign a hold-harmless agreement.
Property maintenance dumpsters, rented from the Township, may NOT be used for the following:
- Lumber, shingles, wallboard, building and construction material that comes from a project requiring a construction permit
- Tree stumps and tree limbs larger than 5 inches in diameter
- Stone
- Soil
- Concrete
- Asphalt
- Railroad Ties
If non-permissible items are placed in the container, it will be the renter’s obligation to remove such items, before the container is removed. Failure to comply, can result in a fine. Payment and paperwork must be completed before delivery can be scheduled.
Delivery will be within one week after receiving check.
